IDENTITY | Branding, Catalogue Design and Graphic Layout
Zirconio is one of the most renowned ceramic tile brands in Europe, and since it was acquired by the Malasia group Niro Granite, they found the necessity to project a high standard brand value, a deep renewal on their brand applications.
From this point, we decided to design something outstanding, leaving aside the usual catalogue layout and trying to find something more specific to increase the user experience and value perception.
The cover is made out of printable recycled cardboard, composing a three body structure, and a hexagonal die on the right body which would fit with it's positive sticked on the back of the left body. The main spine is lined with a metal effect lining vinyl.
The original idea was to leave the right body to be used as a page marker and and easy to use general index.
When the catalogue is closed, the die fit makes it compact and strong. And when it is open, it is a quick use reference tool for all their ceramic distributors which will find a very easy information architecture.
The design work is based on finding and implementing a distinctive and unique identity, based on the detail and care of finishings and materials, the synthesis of the color and the clarity of the information.
It was designed with a very clean and clear data hierarchy, in company with the elegance of the overall structure, with the intention to make the complex seem simple.
